The Second Annual Innovate Durham is fast approaching!

Cohort Application Deadline: July 23rd, 2018

Innovate Durham is a 12-week partnership program that turns the City of Durham and Durham County into a lab to test your idea, product or service. Through the program, participants will get access to staff, data, and facilities to assist with making Durham more efficient and encourage a culture of innovation at the City and County. 

This year Innovate Durham is focused on eight policy challenges that applicants can apply to work on.

• VISION ZERO
  Help Durham achieve our vision of zero traffic fatalities.
• DIGITIZING PLANNING
  From informing residents to reviewing plans help and digitizing archives.
• SMART CITIES
  Using technology to improve efficiency and quality of life.
• LIFELONG LEARNING
  Help the libraries spur lifelong learning by connecting community members.
• EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
  Work with the County to improve emergency communications.
• ENGAGING HISPANIC RESIDENTS
  Help the City better serve the Spanish speaking community.
• ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY
  Work with the Bloomberg i-Team to help justice-involved residents.
• IDEA MANAGEMENT
  Assist the County to better collect and implement ideas from residents and staff.
